The sun was bright on that late spring afternoon, the heat from the streets rising from under dark workman boots. With every step, the clinking of glass could be heard from the bulging paper bag that Wave held under his arm. His other hand was busy adjusting a beanie over his earcaps as he looked around the block for any police bots that might be lurking in the city’s corners. Not that he minded a fight though; in fact, he always look forward to a good scrap when it came to him. But Wave was more worried about losing his precious cargo in a fistfight than the threat of being dismantled.

As he walked further south towards an old warehouse teleporter, he noticed something that caught his eye in an allyway. In the dim light, he could see something shinning, like metal and the odd, half finished graffiti that scrawled it’s mark on the ally’s walls. Curious, Wave walked inside, looking around until he noticed a familiar face. It was Pump. His arm was broken, held on to only a thin braid of circuits. His chest was crushed, and his electronic innards were exposed, their dying sparks still sizzling as Wave moved closer.

Wave carefully put down his bag and keeled down to inspect the damage. “Shit. What the hell happened to you Pump? Who the fuck did you mess with?”

He didn’t expect a reply and he got none from the metal mess. There was no one around to help the poor bastard, so Wave hauled Pump over his shoulder like a big tuna and hung the bag of liquor around the other’s neck. As Wave walked towards the warehouse and to the teleporter that lied inside, he whispered, “Don’t worry. I got you.”

Asking about a project that he suggested I work on is a reason to get upset? I may be missing something, but I fail to see how that makes sense, Waveman.

I already know that most robots here favor their own line. They don’t treat other lines like shit though, do they? Not all of them. That’s what I take issue with. I don’t believe anyone in this fortress deserves to be treated that way without at least an explanation of some kind.

We’re on an island, run by a doctor who doesn’t give a fuck about anyone, filled with robots who don’t give a shit. Why the hell does it surprise you that Flash gets pissed off? He doesn’t need a reason because we don’t give a damn about feelings here. So do what you want, but don’t make a big deal about it, alright?
